2. Restaurant Responsibility
Public accommodations such as restaurants are subject to accessibility laws including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and similar laws in other jurisdictions. The Restaurant is responsible for confirming that its kiosk placement, reach ranges, clear floor space, staff support, menu disclosures, and overall guest experience meet applicable accessibility requirements for its location.
Restaurants should provide a clearly available staff-assisted ordering alternative for any guest who is unable to use the kiosk.
3. Not a Certification
This statement is not a certification of ADA compliance or compliance with any specific accessibility standard. TapKio has not been independently audited against WCAG 2.1/2.2, ADA Title III, Section 508, EN 301 549, or equivalent standards. Restaurants requiring formal compliance review should consult qualified counsel or an accessibility specialist.
4. Ongoing Work
We treat accessibility as an ongoing effort. We review feedback, test new features against accessibility heuristics, and prioritize fixes for issues that materially impact use.
5. Feedback and Alternatives
If you experience an accessibility barrier when using a TapKio-powered kiosk, please tell the Restaurant staff so they can help with your order, and let us know through the email hello@tapkio.com so we can improve. When you contact us, please include the Restaurant location, the date and time, and a description of what happened.
